Plaubel Makina 67 with Kodak Portra 800
One of my favourite films is Kodak Portra 800. I really like the vivid color of this emulsion and the speed of ISO 800 when shooting medium format. Not my choice for landscapes of course, but this time I decided to use it for a few landscape shots during my last trip.
This is not a fine grain film (at least compared to Ektar 160 which is my choice for landscape images), still in the 6x7 negative, the grain will show up only in large prints.
I used a polariser filter in all my shots, and apertures ranging from f/16 to f/22 , and even then some images were 1-2 stop overexposed compared to my meter readings, but I am happy with the results!
Scanned with the Nikon Coolscan 9000, the amount of detail and resolution is impresive (as it always is with a 6x7 negative!!)
